Jacob George was asked to introduce me to the audience. Rev Roger Welch, the chairperson of Wycliffe Bible Translators International was there.

I was asked to deliver a paper assessing the state of church and mission work in India and do the closing devotion on the last day of the conference. My paper was entitled "Mission India". Since I had sent it in ahead of time for the sake of translating into French and Spanish, the delegates had a copy in their files. Almost without exception all the delegates were Third World/developing countries said that the situation was the same in their countries, and were glad that I had the courage to give an honest assessment and that I had given them food for thought about what they need to do in their own situations.

Since I was the last devotional speaker, I suffered a set back when Ajith speaking on Colossians 1:24, made a major reference to the "fellowship of sufferings" that Paul talks of in Philippians 3:10, and had to give up the idea of speaking on Paul's use of the word "fellowship" in Philippians. I waited until Dr Daniel also finished his devotional messages before finalizing my message lest I lose my subject a second time.

I spoke on the Lord Jesus Christ having a sense of timeliness in all the things He did during His ministry on earth. Many expressed appreciation for what I said and felt that the Holy Spirit had directed my thoughts.
