Writers' Workshop in Bombay

Roshini left for Kerala on January 15th. Two days later, I left for Bombay. Light of Life magazine had been asked to help the Holy Trinity Charity Trust (an organisation headed by Kurien Daniel in memory of his wife Susamma Kurien) do a two-day writers' workshop in Bombay.

The workshop was held in one of the residences on the campus of the St Pius Seminary in Goregaon, and began the next morning and went on till Saturday, 19th, afternoon. The morning sessions were taken by me and the afternoon sessions by Robert Clements of "Bob's Banter" fame--the column he writes for Light of Life and quite a number of other secular publications. There were just 10 participants most of the time as there was a major Christian gathering going on at the same time. Those who attended were on the whole keen on learning learning writing skills to aid them in their Christian witness.
